Text defaults to UTF-8 with no normalization and preserved line endings. Optionally choose Unicode NFC and normalize CRLF/CR to LF. Files always use exact original bytes.

Web Crypto requires HTTPS or localhost and a supporting browser. Hashing is not encryption and does not certify that a file is safe.

Text limit 5 MiB; file limit 20 MiB. Web Crypto reads the entire input in memory; this is not streaming hashing. Cancel discards the worker and prevents late results.

Clear session removes application references, not downloaded files or browser/OS memory. Ordinary application asset requests still reach the host. There is no analytics, content persistence, or processing service.
